CBD VS THC

CBD (cannabidiol) is a phytocannabinoid found in the plant Cannabis Sativa which have become popular due to their numerous health benefits and lack of psychoactive effects and toxicity.

CBD is similar to chemicals that act on the human body, called endocannabinoids. The human body’s endocannabinoid system influences our main organs, as well as the nervous, immune and digestive systems, allowing them to remain in balance.

CBD is most commonly used as a primary ingredient in extracts from plant strains ofCannabis Sativa such as hemp and is used to produce oils, supplements, extracts, capsules, creams, etc.

THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the phytocannabinoid that has the psychoactive and intoxicating component found in Cannabis Sativa.

It is the best known of the phytocannbionoids and is most popularly linked to recreational use.

Both phytocannbionoids CBD and THC can be found in the plant Cannabis Sativa, which can be characterized by two main varieties: Marijuana (with high concentrations of THC) or hemp (with low concentrations of THC).

Most CBD extracts are made from hemp and have a concentration of less than 0.2% THC (legal limit in the EU).
